Sparc and Optamiztik are back...Again, with the new 9 track EP "Weston -VS- Everybody".
The name is a twist on Eminem's Detroit -VS- Everybody (Produced by Statik Selektah) and paying homage to their home town of Weston-super-Mare (UK).
This time round the duo have reached out across the pond to a scratch DJ who goes by the name of DJ Q residing from Maryland, Silver Spring in Washington D.C. DJ Q has found the time from his busy schedule of live shows, parties, clubs, weddings and corporate events to provide us with some of his finest scratch sounds over Sparc and Optamiztik's production.
The EP consists of 9 tracks that will take you on a musical journey through the many sounds and sub-genres of Hip-Hop and Rap, from, Trap, Rock Rap to Early 90's style Hip-Hop with plenty of sampling though the decades.
Weston -VS- Everybody is a massively personal album to Sparc and Optamiztik. Their lyrics talk about the subjects that matter the most to them, the lives they live and the reasons why they create the music they do and most importantly who they do it for. Its just beats, bars and laughter.
